Dennis L. Roossien, Jr. is a shareholder at Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. in Dallas, Texas. He has over twenty-five years of fiduciary experience centering on insolvency proceedings, including representing liquidating trustees, oversight boards of liquidating trusts, receivers, and trustees. Dennis has also served directly as a receiver, liquidating agent, Chapter 11 Trustee, and plan agent, frequently in cases arising from large-scale securities frauds.
His notable matters include serving as Chapter 11 Trustee, equity receiver, and plan agent in In re Provident Royalties, LLC, a $500 million oil and gas fraud involving thousands of investors. He also served as federal equity receiver in SEC v. IPIC, a $170 million Ponzi scheme, and represented the receiver in SEC v. Clean Energy Technology Association, Inc., a $300 million technology fraud. Additionally, Dennis represented the creditors' committee and liquidating trust oversight boards in In re Life Partners Holdings, Inc., a billion-dollar life insurance derivative fraud.
Dennis's over thirty-year litigation practice has included appellate matters, securities fraud, commercial litigation, and partnership disputes. He received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1992 and his undergraduate degree from Calvin College in 1989. He is admitted to practice in Texas state and federal courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
