The purpose of the panel is to discuss best practices, complexities and insights regarding receiverships that occur simultaneously with federal criminal investigations involving grand juries. The panel will address issues including:
1. Secrecy obligations in grand jury proceedings; 2. Maintenance of attorney client privilege; 3. Voluntary and non-voluntary production of documents; 4. Use of receivership power to encourage cooperation with receivers and criminal authorities; 5. Best practices of sharing information voluntarily; and 6. Best practices for sharing information in response to a search warrant.
