This panel will discuss a range of issues that pertain to receivership matters that do not involve a regulatory agency and receiverships in state court.  Various types of litigation matters that are not regulatory enforcement actions can and do include the appointment of a receiver and we will discuss issues and concerns related to those matters and receivers can and are appointed in various state court matters, both state regulatory and non-regulatory matters, and we will discuss issues as to appointment, basis in law to do so, pre vs. post judgment appointments, can there be a stand-alone receivership, and how receiverships in state courts are managed and whether it is similar to or different from federal court appointments.
